FOR ADOPTION – PEGGY – SOUTHAMPTON

Peggy is a very sweet and affectionate 5 year old Pug x Poodle. She weighs 5.7kg. She is neutered and currently living in a foster home with two small resident dogs in Southampton.

She is a sensitive girl who dislikes loud noises, benefiting from lots of reassurance. Desensitisation training will need to be ongoing to reduce barking due to noise. She’s made great progress already.

Peggy walks very nicely on the lead. She loves exploring big open spaces on her long lead. Recall training is ongoing. She is highly food motivated so this will help with all aspects of training. Peggy is comfortable with other dogs from a distance, but can shy away if up close. Gentle introductions are essential.

She is fully house trained in her foster home and has had no accidents.

Peggy likes playing tug with toys and is beginning to play with the resident dogs. She would prefer to have a home with a calm and confident similarly sized dog.

She sleeps through the night on her foster mum’s bed. She loves cuddles and lots of tummy rubs.

Peggy can be left with other dogs for few hours but does enjoy human company so would prefer a new mum or dad who is home a lot of the time.

Peggy could live with older children and is currently residing with teenage children. She will chase cats.
