Two-year-old Lexie is in foster in the New Forest. She is a med/large build with similarities to a Wolfhound. Lexie loves the company of other dogs and does get lonely when left on her own. She would benefit from either being adopted where another dog is home or there are people around most of the day. She can try and boss smaller dogs around in the home, especially when there’s a treat around, but isn’t aggressive.
Lexie LOVES to play and chase her ball on her walks – she has a lot of energy to burn off – but is then found asleep where she falls when you return. She’s a very kind, loving, loyal and well socialised dog who loves to meet new people and dogs while out, she also loves the children she’s in foster with. She can get scared when new people come to the house and she can bark and shy away at first until she gets to know you.
Lexie knows her basic commands but can turn a deaf ear and choose when she wants to respond to you. This is being worked on with her foster and continued practice will see her improve. Ultimately, she wants to come and sit on your lap for a cuddle and feel loved.
Adoption donation £230. All Phoenix dogs are adopted with 5 weeks FREE insurance with Agria. She’s spayed and fully vaccinated.
