FOR ADOPTION – PABLO – HAVANT

Pablo may be small but he has a big personality! He’s a 1 year old miniature Dachshund.

Pablo is a warm and affectionate dog that loves company. He loves playing with his ball and will return it promptly for throwing!

Pablo is still gaining confidence on walks but improves every day in foster. Pablo is in a routine of 2 short walks per day. He eats kibble and wet food and is receptive to food when training. He’s loved his trips to the beach, especially the puppachinos!

Pablo has been tested with children 8+ and he enjoyed playing chase with them! Pablo hasn’t been tested with cats.

Pablo will initially bark at visitors but soon warms to company. He is a little nervous around other dogs but soon relaxes once introductions are out of the way! The world can be scary when you’re small and have tiny little legs!

We are still working on house training and he has shown great promise in recent days by toileting in one location in the garden, he will need patience and encouragement and this will need to be continued in his forever home. He loves to hear what a good boy he is! (Just don’t scrimp on the treats!)

Pablo is happy to travel in the car. Recall has been good in quieter locations. Pablo sleeps all night, he’s previously been in a crate but at present he sleeps in a dog bed upstairs. He is clean all night.

Pablo can be left for a few hours at a time as long as he has his toys and the radio on.

Overall he is a wonderful play companion who seeks validation and is building confidence daily.
